Sierra #3 is back on track

After years of a massive overhaul and boiler fitting; Sierra Railway #3 is now back in black literally.

She was built in 1891 and helped in the post gold rush railroading and served on the Prescott & Arizona Central Railway and then the Sierra Railways. After years of service on that railroad, it was used in more than several movies and tv series. Movies like, High Noon, Bound for Glory, The Great race, Back to the Future III, and Unforgiven, and TV shows like, Petticoat Junction, Rawhide, Lone Ranger, Bonanza, and Wild Wild West.

Hollywood has used this locomotive in many of their big westerns. Soon in the following decades she pulled tourists until the overhaul which lasted until 2009. This is the treasure of Jamestown, California. Now she has a bright new future ahead of her and is now pulling trains in old Railtown 1897. Which you can still visit today.
You can find Sierra No. 3 in your favorite movies and even today.
